A new BMW 7 Series is in the works. The current model is not outdated, as it debuted in 2022 for the 2023 model year. with polarization style. Whether that is the motivation behind this update is unknown. Suffice to say, it’s not often that we see a carmaker show off an updated model just two years after its launch.
Anyway, a convoy of camouflaged BMWs have been caught testing in Spain, with a previously unseen 7 Series among them. NCars on YouTube managed to get a closer look, revealing some obvious changes to the sedan's nose. There's still a fairly large grille, but it's not as big as before. It looks like the designers were able to adjust the flagship's grille to Series 5keeping it wide but cutting the length.
In the video, the sedan is accompanied by a number of SUVs that clearly feature the Neue Klasse design. Most likely these SUVs are the next SUVs X5 and the iX3, hiding subtle body lines under camouflage. The future shape was previewed in March with New Class X Conceptalthough the production model should tone down the concept somewhat.
When will we see this prototype revealed? The 7 Series camouflage likely won't appear until 2025 at the earliest, perhaps for the 2026 model year. As for the SUV, BMW Cars has confirmed that its first Neue Klasse vehicle will debut in the second half of 2025. It could be a sedan, but we suspect it will start with one of the SUVs seen here.
