It is the Car of the Year in Europe, it costs 21,800 euros and wants to be the bargain of February

It seems that everything is going well for Jeep, a brand that has the chance to destroy the new Jeep Avenger. And it is that we are not only talking about a compact SUV at a very interesting price, but also the one that has been named Car of the Year in Europe despite being two months into 2023. With all this, the new Avenger is now available in the Spanish market with a starting price of 21,800 eurosa figure that does not hide any tricks and that wants to turn the American SUV into the bargain of the month.

And it is that at the moment, the American house does not put obstacles to get us a car at a very competitive price given the current inflation times. Besides, the Avenger is also offered in a 100% electric versionmotorization that raises the initial outlay to 36,600 euros, although yes, it can be lowered to 29,600 euros thanks to the MOVES III Plan.

Be that as it may, we are going to focus, for now, on the combustion variant, the one that promises to be the most interesting due to autonomy and price. This is based on a single mechanic, being the 1.2 PureTech engine three-cylinder and turbocharged in charge of giving life to the gasoline Jeep Avenger.

Specifically, said propellant produces 100 hp and 205 Nm of torque for the occasion. These are figures that are managed by means of a five-speed manual transmission, and allow a combined consumption of 5.6 liters per 100, although yes, under the WLTP cycle. Regardless of this, we are facing a fairly good figure that makes the Avenger a good ally to face the urban world.

But if one can not choose another mechanical, what can change in the American SUV? Mainly the finish, since Jeep allows its customers choose between four trim levels. The first of them is called Avenger, involves an outlay of 21,800 euros and offers standard elements such as 16-inch wheels, LED lights, rain sensor, 10.1-inch screen with connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and control cruise among others.

For 23,300 euros we will access the Longitude finishwhich adds a central armrest as standard, heated mirrors, body-color handles, driving modes and descent control, among others. If we raise the budget to 25,300 euros we can opt for the Altitude finishwhich offers elements such as 17-inch wheels, synthetic leather steering wheel and knob, dual-zone automatic climate control, 6 speakers and adaptive cruise control.

And finally the Summit finish, that makes us face a payment of 28,300 euros to enjoy standard equipment consisting of 18-inch wheels, specific mats, photosensitive interior mirror, heated windshield, keyless access and start, Full LED headlights, rear view camera, blind spot warning and heated front seats.

And what about the 100% electric Avenger?

At the moment, and as with the gasoline Avenger, the 100% electric variant is led by a single mechanic. In this way, those who want to opt for the American SUV in electric format must do so with a 156 hp and 260 Nm of torque. This is powered by a 54 kWh capacity battery, and offers a range of 400 kilometers under the WLTP cycle, although the firm itself ensures a figure of 550 kilometers doing purely urban driving.

And as with the combustion Jeep Avenger, in the electric we can only change the finish beyond the configuration itself. This leaves us with the Longitude, Altitude and Summit trim levels, which are priced at 36,600 euros, 38,600 euros and 41,600 euros respectively.
