The camel trophy it was possibly the best promotional action ever carried out by a car brand. For a brand like Land Rover, which wanted to prove that its 4x4s were capable of reaching the ends of the world and overcoming any obstacle, the gargantuan off-road adventures in the jungle and desert of the annual Camel Trophy were a huge commercial boost. In 1997 the Camel Trophy, already called the 4×4 Olympics, was held in Mongolia. 25 years later, one of the participating Land Rover Discovery returns to its original state.

In the US, he spent 12 years parked outdoors until he was rescued by a lawyer who was fond of 4×4 and his son, who wanted to restore it as a family project. After the death of the father, the son decides to sell the Discovery, but not before detailing it visually, after having updated its mechanics.
This Land Rover barely has 10,000 miles on its odometer. Its condition is 100% original and it is desired to preserve its originality.
After unlocking his tailgate and collecting some stones from the Mongolian desert, Larry begins his usual cleaning job. The challenge of this detailing was not so much the interior of it-in good condition and built with very suffered materials-if not the exterior of it, with a very oxidized paint of little thickness and stickers to preserve. The work was not easy, but the end result is striking. Its future owner will only have to fix a few cosmetic details to enjoy a true Camel Trophy participant.
