It started out as the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and over time it simplified things to become the Aston Martin DBS. There will be no new vehicle to replace it and that means the DBS lineage comes to an end. He does it with him Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate, the most powerful British model in history.
The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate already has the honor of being the production Aston Martin most powerful in history and, probably, you have already guessed what 770 means: it equips a 5.2-liter V12 gasoline engine, which delivers a power of 770 HP and has a maximum torque of 900 Nm. Its partner for this last dance is a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, which sends that force to the rear axle. It also has a mechanical limited slip differential.
It is true that, in recent years, more powerful street cars have come out of Gaydon: the 1160 hp Aston Martin Valkyrie or the aston martin victor of 836 CV, but we are talking about a hypercar of 2.89 million euros of which there will only be 150 units and a one-off.
The set-up
Aston Martin engineers have put the icing on that 770 hp cake by adjusting the intake and increasing the boost pressure by 7%: this adjustment contributes to achieving that power with which the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is capable of reach 340 km/h. The special calibration of the gearbox also helps.
Normally, improved power requires tweaks to the braking system, although, in this case, the Aston Martin DBS’s carbon-ceramic brakes are already up to the task. They have improved the direction thanks to a new column, which increases both the precision and the response that the driver obtains. The chassis is also a little stiffer and, according to the brand, the suspensions have a special setting that increases control without compromising ride quality.

On an aesthetic level, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is perfectly recognizable, although it does have some specific details that differentiate it from the base model. The prevailing use of carbon fiber on the edge of the windshield, on the fenders or on the exterior rear-view mirrors.
New front splitter, air vents, whose design is reminiscent of previous versions of the DBS, and some lateral ‘gills’. In the profile, the attention is for the 21 inch wheels (available in three finishes: Satin Silver, Satin Black or Satin Black with Diamond Turned) that are mounted on 265/35R21 Pirelli P Zero tires at the front and 305/30R21 at the rear. Not to be missed, either, is the design of the diffuser. Any owner will be able to adapt the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate to his tastes thanks to Aston Martin’s Q personalized services.
The exclusivity continues in a cabin presided over by a couple of Sports Plus seats, Upholstered in leather and Alcantara: the driver has carbon fiber paddle shifters at his disposal. There are several details that remind us that this is a special edition that celebrates the end of an era: both in the central armrest and on the thresholds we find the name of the model and the number of the unit.
499 units
Aston Martin will build 499 units of the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate: 300 will be Coupé and 199 Volante (the convertible version). Activity on the lines will start in the first quarter of 2023 with the order book closed because all copies of the latest DBS are sold: deliveries will begin at the end of summer. The price is still a mystery, but this data loses some interest considering that the production is already assigned.
