From 5 to 12 cents: these are the discounts for private drivers that you will find at gas stations

Posted on

Since yesterday, filling the tank with gasoline or diesel is a little more expensive: no, its price has not increased… but the 20 cent discount for private drivers has disappeared. In 2023, only professionals will be able to benefit from this state rebate and the rest will be able to resort to rebates at gas stations. They are not as bulky as in recent months, but yes it is possible to save between 10 and 12 cents per liter fulfilling, yes, its conditions.

Cepsa – 12 cents

We start with the gas station that offers the greatest discount to private drivers: at Cepsa, the discount will be up to 12 cents. You have to take into account that “up to” because it indicates that there are two types of discounts:

10 cents: the one that has offered since April

12 cents: Cepsa offers an additional discount of 2 cents, which only applies to drivers who choose premium fuels from the Óptima range.

The Cepsa discount is only available to drivers who are part of your free loyalty program ‘Because you come back’: To benefit from the discount, it will be enough to identify yourself when paying with your ID, the application or the card. Professional drivers adhering to the ‘Starressa Direct’ program will also be able to enjoy this savings of up to 12 cents per litre. It will be active, for the moment, during the first quarter of 2023.

Repsol – 10 cents

The Spanish oil company was the first to make a move to reveal what will be the bonus it offers in its pumps: 10 cents.Repsol therefore eliminates the five cents that, until now, it indiscriminately deducted from all those who added fuel at its service stations.

As in the case of Cepsa and in the same way that occurs with the rest of the oil companies that have opted for this strategy, the discount will only be available to drivers who use your payment and loyalty application Waylet. The discount will be applied to all fuels (gasoline, diesel, natural gas for vehicles and AutoGas) and will be available until March 31, 2023.

From that moment on, continuing with the multi-energy strategy that Repsol has implemented, the bonus will be linked to its offer of electricity and gas, solar and electric mobility.

Galp – 10 cents

Galp has imitated the rest of the oil companies and also maintains its direct discount for private drivers who are part of its customer program. With the Galp World free app, may benefit from a discount of 10 cents per liter in all fuels.

BP – 10 cents

BP has been one of the last to make its position known in this ‘war’ of discounts. The British oil company has announced that it will offer a 10 cents per liter refueled for all private clients who are part of the program My BP.

It will be applied in all the stations of the BP network and additional bonuses available for the fuels of the Ultimate range will be added: The company, yes, has not specified figures. It will be valid until March 31, 2023.

Shell and DISA – 5-10 cents

Shell and DISA will apply two types of bonuses to private drivers who pay for their refueling with the ‘My DISA Energy’ app.

  • 5 cents for Shell Fuel Save, DISAEco or DISA Autogas
  • 10 cents for Shell V-Power or DISAMax

For now, both companies have announced that the discounts are compatible with the current benefits for their customers and that they will be active until March 31, 2023.
