With the motor world heading towards sustainable mobility, the market constantly receives the arrival of new players. One of them is Ahra, a brand recently founded in Italy that is located in the premium segment: it has already presented its first model and If the cinema screen of the new BMW 7 Series seems big to you, wait until you see the one on the dashboard.
Aehra is a Milan-based automotive start-up and presented its first electric vehicle a few weeks ago: SUV of unconventional proportions, as it It measures 5.10 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1.64 meters high. Its bodywork also combines scissor doors for the front row and gull-shaped doors for the rear.
A giant screen… on the dashboard
In his coming-out he did not show images of the interior. She has now revealed it and with it, her best secret: a huge screen that has become her most particular feature. The passenger compartment can be a living room, a cinema, a meeting room… and yes, also a car. And it is that the dashboard has a screen that covers the entire width and integrates the digital mirrors, the instrument panel and the infotainment system.
The most curious thing is that, when the car is parked, the screen can be pulled up for business or leisure purposes. Aehra has not revealed its size, but it seems that it is larger than the screen that the new BMW 7 Series has in the rear row: a surface that measures 78.74 centimeters. The truth is that, being located on the dashboard, it would make more sense if the vehicle were fully autonomous.
maximum luxury
According to Aehra, his new SUV (which can be configured to have four or five seats) it is so wide that it can accommodate four NBA players. The truth is that the legroom in the rear is considerable: it benefits both from a long wheelbase of three meters and from the aerodynamic shape and the position of the electric motor.
The huge screen on the dashboard is not the only one. The driver of the Aehra will have other, smaller, located in the center of the dashboard: with it you will have access to all the controls because the only physical buttons are the gearbox selector, located in the floating center tunnel, and the multifunction steering wheel controls. By the way, it integrates a digital strip that shows the most important information.
The icing on the cake is provided by the ambient lighting and the hand-stitched Italian leather upholstery: the feeling of luxury inside the Aehra is maximum. The seats are made of aluminum and recyclable carbon fiber to combine the qualities of a sports car and the comfort of first class airplane seats.
After the SUV, Aehra will present an electric saloon in April 2023. It is expected that both go into production in the first quarter of 2025 and are delivered to the first customers in the middle of the same year. As for its distribution, the Italian brand will focus on the United States, Europe, China and the Persian Gulf States.
