The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) makes several options available to sanctioned drivers to pay the fines they have received: online, by phone (060), from the miDGT application or in person. To these four formulas, some municipalities have added another: pay traffic penalties for Bizum. We tell you where you can use this method.

Bizum is a payment service provider: it was born in 2016 and, since then, it has not stopped growing. Not surprisingly, it already has 20 million active users and has registered 1,000 million transactions. At first we used it to send and receive money, but now it is possible to buy certain items (such as Renfe tickets), make donations and even pay at certain shops. Fines have been added to this letter of services in the last year.

The great advantage of Bizum is that it is integrated into the majority of the banks that operate in Spain and that it is a simple and fast application: these characteristics make it possible to simplify all the procedures that must be carried out to pay a fine: now drivers will be able to do it from the mobile in a few steps. Despite the facilities it provides, This formula is only implemented in a few localities… although others have already announced that, in 2023, it will be possible to ‘make a Bizum’ to pay the fines.
