Never before has the Suzuki Jimny been so close to the Mercedes G-Class

One of the charms of the latest generation Suzuki Jimny is, without a doubt, its aesthetic resemblance to the G-Class. Logically, it also adds its good value for money and its off-road capabilities given the outlay required by the Japanese house. But now the Japanese tuner Damd wanted to bring the small -but thug- Jimny closer to the German 4×4. How? With a series of aesthetic kits that represent different designs that the G-Class has shown along its history.

Thus, one can choose to give a more aggressive touch to the Suzuki Jimny with the current aesthetics of the G 63, or opt for a more classic overall design using the canons of the first generation of this. Be that as it may, for those that the lines of the Japanese 4×4 are not enough, Damd has a wide repertoire to suit each profile.

Because turning a Suzuki Jimny into a Mercedes G-Class is possible, at least aesthetically

Thus, the Japanese preparer has baptized each of these kits such as Traditional, Advance and Adventure. How could it be otherwise, the Traditional resorts to the canons that the star’s firm once used to design the first G-Class, a design that is represented in the Jimny with yellow paint, a grill finished in black plastic, steps of wheels in the same materials, yellow fog lights, sheet metal wheels, a basket on the roof and retro-design rear-view mirrors.

The Jimny Adventure, meanwhile, replicates today’s conventional G-Class, offering the typical indicators on the hood, chrome details and lights on the roof. All this is complemented by BBS-type wheels painted in black, LED headlights and wheel arches finished in body color.

Last but not least the Suzuki Jimny Advance. In this we find a reliable representation of the current Mercedes-AMG G 63 by the hand of the Pan-American grill, chrome details, wheel arches, tires and roof in black and more aggressive defenses.

Yes indeed, As far as mechanics is concerned there is no change, keeping intact not only the four-cylinder atmospheric Jimny, but also its set-up for off-road driving. This means that Damd’s modifications are purely aesthetic, but ideal for those who want to give a different touch to the Japanese 4×4.
