Lamborghini has already started the countdown to unveil the successor to the Lamborghini Aventador. The Italian manufacturer already has its new creature ready, a supercar that has the difficult task of continuing the V12 lineage of the house, but also of giving the Lamborghini’s first big leap into electrification. The expectations are very high, the doubts as to what its design or its technical scheme will be like, but in just a few weeks we will have an answer to all our questions.
From the Lamborghini headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese they have just made official the launch of the successor to the Aventador for this first quarter of 2023. Although the first information suggested that this presentation could take place in the summer, finally this event will take place in the coming weeks and from now on we will begin to see advances of this model as a teaser.
By now we already know some important details about how this renewal will be undertaken. First of all we must emphasize that Lamborghini will give life to a new atmospheric V12 engine associated with a hybrid system. The maximum combined power should move between 800 and 850 CV, while it remains to be confirmed that the technology used is a new evolution of the supercapacitor system launched by the Lamborghini Sián.
From an aesthetic point of view, the spy images that we have been able to see, in addition to the leaks of different patents, allow us to get a very clear idea of how Lamborghini has made this new supercar. As expected, the Italian house will maintain its stylistic language premiered at the Sián, evolving the features and lines of this model as Urus or more recently the Huracan Tecnica have already demonstrated. Obviously we will find a new and extremely aggressive image as usual in Lamborghini creations, but we must assume that there will be a clear family air inspired by the Sián.
Perhaps the most important question that we still have has to do with the name of this new model. Lamborghini has managed to keep the name of this important launch still a secret, something not easy in these times. Except for surprise, once again the christening of the new creature will be carried out by a reference to the bullfighting world, either to a livestock, a specific specimen, etc.
