Jeep’s first electric car reveals all its secrets. The smallest and most ambitious Jeep model in Europe reveals all its keys to conquering the European market, a bet with which Jeep wants to strengthen its position in the B-segment SUV. And we have surprise, because although The Jeep Avenger will be the first all-electric JeepFinally in markets like Spain you can also buy the Avenger with a gasoline engine.
The Avenger measures 4,080mm in length, making it 16cm shorter than the Renegade, thus becoming the new Jeep access model in Europe. Manufactured at the Tychy plant in Poland, the Jeep Avenger is developed on the Stellantis CMP platform, the same one that gives life to other group crossovers such as the Peugeot 2008, the Citroën C3 Aircross or the Opel Mokka. As a result of using this platform, we are facing the first Jeep that will only be marketed in 4×2 variants, there being no option to have 4×4 traction.

To remedy this absence, the Jeep Avenger has designed its bodywork to offer good angles of attack (20°), ventral (20°) and departure (32°), as well as a ground clearance 200 mm. At the same time, it will feature descent control as standard and a specific Select Terrain system designed to improve grip in low grip conditions. This system will allow you to choose between 6 different programs: Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud and Sand. In addition, in the case of the electric versions, the battery will have a special protection for the underbody called skid plates.
Originally presented as a 100% electric car, Jeep has finally confirmed that the new Jeep Avenger will be sold in Spain and Italy with a gasoline alternative. This version will be available from the start of sales, making use of a 1.2 Turbo engine with power yet to be confirmed (130 hp almost with total probability).
However, the most important version of the Jeep Avenger is the fully electric one. This variant, which will be called Avenger 4xe, makes use of the latest update of the electrical architecture of the CMP platform, which allows us to speak of a 156 hp and 260 Nm electric motor moving the front wheels and a 54 kWh capacity battery. This battery uses 102 lithium ion cells with NCM 811 chemistry and works at 400 volts, and can be recharged at powers of up to 11 kW in alternating current and up to 100 kW in direct current. At full power, the Avenger needs 24 minutes to go from 20 to 80% battery. WLTP autonomy is 400 kmHowever, Jeep ensures that this figure can reach 550 km in urban driving.
In terms of design, the exterior of the Avenger shows a clearly Jeep aesthetic that makes it similar to the rest of the models in the range. The entire exterior has been designed to offer a robust image, with an off-road feel, but that is also functional to withstand scratches and bumps. The interior has a completely new and unprecedented design in the range where the presence of 7 or 10.25″ digital instrument panel depending on the finish, in addition to a 10.25″ UConnect Media System. The multimedia equipment has TomTom navigation, OTA updates and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In terms of space, Jeep claims to offer great roominess thanks to the presence of numerous storage compartments, space for 5 occupants and a trunk with a volume of up to 380 liters.
