The Bugatti Chiron Centodieci is a tribute to the Bugatti EB110, the supercar that the French brand conceived in the nineties before becoming part of the Volkswagen Group. Also before the end of 2022, the owner of the tenth and last unit of this limited edition has taken possession of it. However, what makes it truly special is its homage to history.
Its departure from the Molsheim production lines is a perfect opportunity to discover its configuration because, moreover, that is where the key to this Bugatti Chiron Centodieci (which is 110 in Italian) is. Before being presented, in 2019, the ten units of this special edition were already sold: each one cost eight million euros.
Deliveries began last June after each of the wealthy owners gave their personal touch to the Bugatti Chiron Centodieci. Six months later, the last unit has headed for its next destination: a hypercar that is special in itself, since it is number ten, linked to the model to which it pays homage. However, the colors chosen by their owner are the ones that make the difference and pay homage to the history of the brand.
bugatti and blue
This example of the Bugatti Chiron Centodieci is configured with White Quartz for the body, a tone that contrasts the Black Matt finish of the grille and the Black Carbon of the side skirts; black also appears in a section of the hood and in the housings of the exterior mirrors.
The Bugatti logo on the rear wing is finished in Light Blue Sports, like the brake calipers. Blue (and, more specifically, French Racing Blue) is the color that has marked the history of the Bugatti brand, just as the Rosso Corsa has done at Ferrari. With that color they dyed the automobile competitions that they dominated in the twenties and, over time, they have reinterpreted it for their most modern models. Of course, the preferred combination of Ettore Bugatti was another: the one formed by yellow and black.
Blue not only appears on the exterior of the Bugatti Chiron Centodieci, but also on the interior… whose development lasted for a year. The owner has chosen, for the occasion, a leather upholstery in the same colour: Light Blue Sport. The diamond pattern (with which they evoke the padding used in the Bugatti EB110) is present in various points such as the door panels, the headliner, the seats, the center console or even the mats.
The relay
Like the rest of the Bugatti Chiron Centodieci, it is powered by the 8.0 W16 with four turbochargers It develops 1,600 horsepower and has 1,600 Nm of maximum torque. These figures allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 6.1 seconds and from 0 to 300 km/h in 13.1 seconds. Its top speed is 380 km/h.
With the release of the Bugatti Chiron Centodieci, the brand will focus on the orders it has pending before giving way to the Bugatti Mistral (its 99 units will mean the final farewell to the iconic W16 of the French brand) and at Bugatti Bolide (forty units), a model designed for circuits. For some time they will be busy in Molsheim.
