Cepsa marks the distance and becomes the gas station with the highest discount for private drivers

The season has been opened. One day after the Government announced that the fuel bonus, in 2023, will only be for transport professionals, the oil companies have begun to reveal their cards. The first was Repsol and now Galp, Shell, DISA… and Cepsa, which has marked the differences with respect to the rest: it will be the gas station that offers the greatest discounts to private drivers.

As of January 1, the reduction that private drivers will find at Cepsa pumps will be up to 12 cents. We place special emphasis on that “up to” because there will be two types of bonuses: one of 10 cents (the one that has offered since April) and an additional 2 cents (with which it reaches 12 cents) for those who choose premium fuels from the Óptima range.

The Cepsa discount will be in force during the first quarter of 2023, but only drivers who are part of your free loyalty program ‘Because you come back’: To benefit from the discount, it will be enough to identify yourself when paying with your ID, the application or the card. Professional drivers adhering to the ‘Starressa Direct’ program will also be able to enjoy this savings of up to 12 cents per litre.

As has happened up to now, the reduction will be applied to any type of fuel (gasoline, diesel and LPG) and it will be compatible with the rest of the discounts that Cepsa offers through its collaborators and other promotions.

Galp, Shell and DISA

The rest of the oil companies have also made a move. Galp also maintains its direct discount for private drivers: as in the case of Cepsa, they must be clients of the Portuguese company.

If so, through the free Mundo Galp application, they will be able to benefit from a discount of 10 cents per liter on all fuels. Besides, Those drivers who decide to sign up for the loyalty program will receive a voucher with a reduction of 25 cents per liter. In principle, the promotion will be extended month by month and will be active until the end of winter 2023.

Shell and DISA will offer their customers two types of discounts when they pay through the ‘Mi Energía DISA’ app: 10 cents when refueling with Shell V-Power or DISAMax fuel and 5 cents when they add Shell Fuel Save, DISAEco or DISA Autogas. These bonuses will be in effect until March 31, 2023.

Repsol and BP

As we said before, Repsol was the first to announce that, as of January 1, 2023, your discount will be 10 cents. It will only be available to drivers who use its Waylet payment and loyalty application, since it eliminates the 5-cent discount that, until now, indiscriminately discounted all those who added fuel at its service stations. The promotion will be available until March 31, 2023 and, after that, it will be linked to its electricity and gas, solar and electric mobility offer.

Remains to be seen what will be BP’s decision: Until now, the British company applied a discount of 12 cents per liter to private drivers and 14 cents to carriers. As reported The worldeverything indicates that it will maintain this same strategy in 2023.
